What is Anger?
Anger is an emotional and mental state of been annoyed or emotionally hurt.
Anger doesn’t just come like that something or someone must trigger it.
To be angry is normal and natural but, how you react or respond to anger is what matters.

Before we go into the ways/methods to control or manage anger let’s look at what the bible says concerning anger.
Proverbs 29:22 An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.
Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.
How To Control/Manage Anger?
1. Know What Makes You Angry
Before thinking of controlling anger you have to first of all know what makes you angry.
Just as a doctor cannot prescribe drugs for a patient without knowing what is wrong with the patient.
So you need to know the root of the anger first before thinking of controlling it.
2. Study The Word Of God Very Often, Especially When The Anger Comes
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Whenever you start seeing symptoms of anger take your bible and start reading, while reading as you try to meditate and understand, the anger leaves you gradually.
The more you read the more you get comforted because there’s power in the word of God.
3. Walk Away If You Have To
This method is recommended for people who get angry because of what people say. Maybe because you were scorned or shouted by your wife, boss, husband, parent’s and so on.
It is recommended on some cases that you walk away. Reason is because the more you listen to what makes you angry, the more you get angry.
This may result to reacting wrongly.
4. Play Your Favourite Gospel Music
Whenever you’re angry it’s recommended you take your earpiece and play your favourite Gospel Music, it will help ease your anger.
5. Pray Against The Spirit Of Anger
Although getting angry is natural but, you will surely need the help of God to control anger.
So you have to pray very often against anger and God will help you.
