5 Things That Change When We Become Christians

When Christ lives in us, everything begins to change; our way of thinking, our desires, our will, our relationships and our very reason for existing!

1. Our way of thinking changes

For the first time in our lives, we finally understand who God is, what his Son has done and how much we need him.

2. Our desires change

The things of this earth that we loved we hate; and the things of God that we hated, we love.

3. Our will changes

We go where Jesus asks us to go, we give what he asks us to give and we sacrifice what we need to get rid of in order to live an uncompromising obedience to his Word.

4. Our relationships change

In the Church, we learn to lay down our lives out of love for others as we share the gospel together in the world.

5. Our reason for existing changes

Our possessions and position are no longer our priorities. We are no longer looking for comfort and tranquility. Our safety is no longer our goal, because our little person is no longer our god.

The glory of God is now more important to us than our own life. The more we glorify him, the more we enjoy being in his presence, and the better we understand that this is what “being a Christian” is all about in the Bible.
